Associate's steak served too rare

Havoc ensued at The Palm yesterday after associate Joshua T. Berman ordered a steak, done medium, but it arrived a little too pink in the center, at a temperature at least one expert verified would definitely be considered medium rare. The event is the third in a series of slights to the Firm by area restaurants: last week at China Grill, only five fortune cookies arrived with the check although there were six people at the table, and just two days ago at Molyvos, partner Rogers H. Millstone attempted to order the branzino, but was told the restaurant was out of it. Berman has filed a grievance with The Palm, and the Firm has declared that it will not be returning, choosing instead to go to Smith & Wollensky, which will benefit from the added business.
