"I came to the Firm because I wanted a place where the work was meaningful, the people were smart, and the challenge was intense. That's why I came here, but it's not why I've stayed."

Our Mission

Our firm was founded in 1908 by thirteen lawyers who believed that the practice of law did not have to be merely one aspect of an attorney’s life but that it offered enough rewards – mentally, spiritually and financially – that it was all a person needed to live a complete existence. Our commitment to this ideal has driven us throughout our 98-year history, and continues to guide us as we approach the century mark.

With lawyers in offices around the world, Anonymous Law Firm offers clients comprehensive legal services, no matter their needs, and no matter the expertise of our staff. We are distinguished by our pledge to offer advice on whatever matters concern our clients, regardless of the skills and knowledge we bring to the table. This philosophy has enabled us to grow, shrink, and then grow once again as the market has opened up new opportunities with corporations who are unfamiliar with our work. Our unsurpassed record of involvement with our clients in all areas of their business has given us a dossier of experiences other firms simply cannot match. We have one compelling mission with regard to our clients: We can do the work, or at least we will spend the hours trying.

Client Service

Great client service requires keen insight, instant response, and the utmost integrity. Good client service requires only some of those elements, and it’s good client service that we almost always strive to achieve. A lot of firms spend their energy trying to understand each client’s business and figure out how to help them reach their goals. We don’t waste time on those sorts of unnecessary frills. We simply come in, do a job, and leave before you even realize the size and scope of our impact. That’s how we operate, and that’s what our clients come to expect. Whether it’s structuring a deal, winning a trial, or merely spending time spinning our wheels, you can trust that we have our best interests in mind, and will act accordingly. That’s not merely a promise. It’s a guarantee.

Our client work has achieved broad recognition. The firm is frequently mentioned in magazines, newspapers, and even by our competitors. We’re regularly cited in reference guides and government documents, for a whole variety of reasons. We were recently named “a firm to watch out for” in The American Lawyer. Certainly anyone opposing our clients is watching out, because we’re coming to get them. And we’ll be armed with more documents than ever before, a function of one of our latest initiatives, a state-of-the-art document duplication program. It’s already winning praise from colleagues throughout the industry.

What Sets Us Apart

What sets Anonymous Law Firm apart? We’ve identified ninety-two things, but only three of them are fit for sharing: Our People, Our Style, and Our Logo.

It all starts with our people. Some firms seek those with legal talent at the expense of other, harder-to-quantify factors. We believe you need a balance of smarts and intangibles, the right attitude, and an ability to come through in the clutch. That’s why we have a mix of lawyers – some with degrees from top law schools throughout the world. And some with a variety of other experiences. We also strive for diversity. It’s something we’re working on. Our chairman put it best at our 2006 annual meeting. “It’s something we’re working on,” he said.

Our style is just as critical as our people. We believe in an adversarial legal system, like the founding fathers believed when they started this country over four hundred years ago. You don’t always win by being the good guy. Sometimes you need to get your hands dirty. And we have young associates who are not afraid to do that. In fact, they’re afraid not to, given our strict sense of accountability and the firm’s “carrots-and-sticks” incentive system.

Finally, our logo. We hope you like it. It’s emblazoned on every page of our web site, which we hope you’ll visit to learn more about Anonymous Law Firm, about our offices, about our people, and about how to join us. Enjoy your stay. We’re watching you.
