Notable Experience
Mr. Crittenbaum sought and received a stay of execution of over $18 million in tax liens on the R.B. Bancroft Corporation's assets, permitting his clients to sell those assets and move to an undisclosed location. Rogers Penaletti, CEO of Penaletti Industries, was the only one of 14 indicted in the Penaletti fraud case to avoid prison time after Mr. Crittenbaum arranged a testimonial agreement. Many of the guilty who were named by Mr. Penaletti were likely terrorists of foreign descent posing as the janitorial staff.
Hobbies/Interests
Talking to the governor's pardons committee for out-of-country clients who have incurred the unjust wrath of the government's overreaching.
Family
The exact makeup of Mr. Crittenbaum's family is currently the subject of litigation.
Best Experience at the Firm
"My client was living in some godforsaken third-world country for fifteen years, and he wanted to breathe the free air of America again. Despite the government's protestations, I got him here without risk of imprisonment when all the supposed victims - all grown up now - signed statements in their new houses that nothing happened."
Worst Experience at the Firm
"The worst one was when I saved our client over $110,000 in tax penalties and interest, and then he never paid the bill. I was despondent for weeks when I realized he wasn't going to pay us what he owed us."
Advice to Law Students
"Firm life is great if you're interested in really practicing law. If you weren't smart enough to go to a top-tier school, you can still do law of some sort somewhere else, but if you were, you should work here in my department, and watch out for the other partners who will try to get you to do their work."
